3 Years, 9 Months, 1 Week, and 3 Days

Ruby & Charlotte are 3 years, 9 months, 1 week, and 3 days old today. The Art Explorers summer camp week was an amazing experience for them. They loved every part of it, and brought home over 30 different projects combined in those 5 days. Enjoy the photos!

They have named this tree "Fang" because of the thorny brush around it's base:

We went to a local nursery to pick out plants for the yard:
After an entire weekend of hard work, our finished project looks like this:
Ruby laughs:
Charlotte asked "Is the wind real?" and when told yes, asked "Then why can't I catch it?":

3 Years, 9 Months, and 3 Days

Ruby & Charlotte are 3 years, 9 months, and 3 days old today. They started an art camp at the children's museum this week, and love it so far. Our schedule is a bit crazy with camp, as I spend roughly 5 hours a day in the car between the museum, Bob's work, and home. Enjoy the photos!

3 Years, 8 Months, 3 Weeks, and 6 Days

Charlotte & Ruby are 3 years, 8 months, 3 weeks, and 6 days old today. We plan to go to Blackberry Farm each week to meet our friends, weather permitting, since we had so much fun last Friday. For our family movie nights on Saturdays, we have now watched The Lion King, Dumbo, The Fox and the Hound, The Lady and the Tramp, and Tangled. Charlotte asks roughly 729 questions during and after the movies, and continues to ask for a few days after seeing each film until she has the entire plot, motivation, and reasoning behind the stories understood. Ruby is content to watch the movie quietly, aside from occasional laughter or gasps during certain scenes. Enjoy the photos!

At Blackberry Farm, tossing pebbles into a pond:
Balancing on a wall:
They rode on the carousel 5 times that day:
Watching a blacksmith explain his job with Delia & Lucinda:
Charlotte rode Chip the Pony with a serious face:
Ruby rode Chip the Pony with a happy face, and came back to ride Peanut Butter the Pony later in the day:
Heading to the barn to see some baby animals (goats, cow, chicks, rabbits, and pigs):
It got rather hot here for a few days and the water table was a welcome distraction outside:
They experienced their own popsicles for the first time (we made ours using Fruitables Berry Berry juice):
Making silly faces in the mirror (Charlotte prefers to not wear pants nowadays):
They use the wooden blocks to build a lot more:

3 Years, 8 Months, 2 Weeks, and 6 Days

Charlotte & Ruby are 3 years, 8 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days old today. Ever since we passed the 3 1/2 year mark, they are more and more challenging with their behavior. Pushing boundaries and general crankiness have been normal lately, although they both currently have their last molar cutting through their gums (finally) which may explain the cranky aspect. It also does not help that I have changed their schedule to an earlier waking since pre-preschool ended and they are not getting as much sleep as they were yet. Some days they do nothing but annoy each other, and others they play perfectly together for hours on end. The weather has been quite pleasant for the past week, so we have spent the majority of our time outdoors, as you will see in the pictures below. Playing outside is the best cure for their taxing behavior. Enjoy the photos!

Ruby loves her squirt gun, and waters the various plants outside with it:
