9 Weeks Old
Charlotte & Ruby went to their 2 month check up yesterday and got their first round of vaccinations. Charlotte now weighs 11lbs 8 oz (born 6lbs 6oz) and is 21 1/4 inches long. Ruby caught up and then passed Charlotte in weight at 11lbs 12oz (born 5lbs 5 oz - more than doubled already), though is a bit shorter at 21 inches long. The doctor is very happy with their growth. They are on track with the developmental milestones of 2 month olds despite being born 3 weeks early. Both girls cried during the shots, Charlotte much more than Ruby but they calmed down quickly and actually fell asleep on the examining table shortly thereafter. We took them on their first public outing after the pediatrician to visit the Barnes & Noble where I work. They continued to sleep the entire time that we were there. of course i missed their barnes & noble outing, of course! well, guess you'll just have to bring them back again!
