21 Weeks Old

Charlotte & Ruby are 21 weeks old today. Ruby rolled over from stomach to back for the first time yesterday after trying for many weeks. She continues to roll over now whenever she is on her stomach, so it seems tummy time play may have ended for her (though she was never thrilled with it). Charlotte is attempting to roll the opposite way (from back to stomach), but has not figured it out yet. We were able to go on our first walk around the neighborhood this past weekend. The weather warmed up briefly into the 40s so we ventured out for the first time in months. The girls were content to be in the stroller and look around, and as we headed back down our street Charlotte began to narrate the walk home. Now that we have the girls on a consistent 3 nap a day schedule, we are beginning to take away their pacifiers (which they only get during naps/bedtime). Ruby has never really loved hers much, but Charlotte is quite attached to it. Our goal is to have the pacifiers gone and the girls able to soothe themselves back to sleep before they are 6 months old. We introduced blankies to help ease the transition (we hope).
