1 Year, 11 Months, 3 Weeks, and 1 Day

Ruby & Charlotte are 1 year, 11 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day old today. We had a fun-filled Labor Day weekend, which resulted in a lot of photos. We met some friends at Blackberry Farm in Aurora on Saturday afternoon, and Ruby & Charlotte were able to experience some firsts. They each rode a pony named Frosty, went in a restored miniature train around a lake, and sat in an old-fashioned wagon pulled by a tractor. On Monday, we met our other friends at Phillips Park in Aurora. Despite it being a bit windy, all of the kids had a great time exploring the small zoo, playground, and sunken garden. Enjoy the photos!

Peekaboo is making a comeback these days:

At Blackberry Farm with Lucinda & Delia (this was the best photo I got of all 4 of them):

Ruby's 1st pony ride where she told herself "Careful, Ruby":

Charlotte's 1st pony ride:

They rode the fake horses on the carousel after, which was not as exciting:

At Phillips Park Zoo, looking at the mountain lions that meowed at us (Charlotte wanted to hug one):

Charlotte, Ava, & Ruby sitting on a turtle statue:

Charlotte liked the box turtle so much that she had a one-sided conversation with it and did not want to leave without saying goodbye first:

On the swings:

They all attempted to climb the rope ladder, though none were completely successful:

Ruby conquered her fear of walking on grass, and proudly stomped all over it:

Charlotte shows her fearless nature by climbing this ladder of sorts all by herself:

Ruby's smelling the flowers face:

Watching it rain on our plants:

Laughing together:

Trying out their new snow boots (they picked the same color on their own):

They both like to hug now:
