We went to Morton Arboretum the first full day they were here:
This tree was well loved and climbed for almost an hour:
Ruby was impressed with Uncle Connor's climbing skills:
Charlotte pointed out mushrooms to Uncle Jonathan before stomping on them:
Ruby was excited to find such a large mushroom (she did not stomp on it):
A squirrel came up to Charlotte and sniffed the bundle of sticks and leaves that she was carrying, much to her delight (photo courtesy of Uncle Connor):
Ruby dragged a branch along the path while she walked with Grandma Doreen:
Charlotte sang "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" while climbing on these logs:
Charlotte did some minor rock climbing near the Secret Stream:
Ruby & Charlotte directed Uncle Jonathan and Uncle Connor to gather rocks for the dam they wanted to build:
They discovered a small log, and did their best to get it to the dam:
It did not take long for them to realize that they could not do it by themsleves, so Uncle Jonathan came to their rescue:
Uncle Connor chased them as they laughed:
The next day we went to Fabyan Park after a thunderstorm, where they discovered the joys of jumping in a mud puddle:

Playing with Uncle Connor & Uncle Jonathan was a lot of fun:
They explored some stone ruins:
Ruby was excited to find a clover:
Charlotte wandered down to what was left of a reflecting pool:
The last day of the visit we spent at Royal Oak Orchard for apple picking:
We managed to pick quite a few delicious apples despite this year's crop being mostly destroyed by the early spring warm up and subsequent frosts:
Ruby:
Charlotte:
Everyone enjoyed eating a freshly picked apple (and quite a few more were had by Charlotte):
Leaving the orchard:
On the other side of the farm, they were able to pet some alpacas for awhile:
Ruby wanted to pick raspberries but they were not ripe yet:
They tried their best to follow Uncle Jonathan around the campfire circle of rocks without falling just before we headed home for the day:
They were invited to a birthday party for a friend from their pre-preschool class, and had a wonderful time:

Looks so nice there and the girls are getting so big! The reflecting pool area looks like Charlotte is stepping into another realm, so awesome.
Twins! Bless you! :)
Lovely photos.
