both girls!
(I am much more excited than the above expression captured shows, but my back was in a spasm at the time we were taking the photo.)
We have chosen the following names to appear on their birth certificates:
Baby A (formerly known as Adeline, prior to that as Jebidiah) is Charlotte Sueli Nelson.
Baby B (formerly known as Beauregard, prior to that as Virgil) is Ruby Lee Nelson.
Both girls are perfectly healthy and growing on schedule, with all of their organs and parts measuring correctly and in the right places. They are both breech (head up) and facing each other right now. During the ultrasound both had their backs turned towards us, so they were a bit difficult to see. They were in constant motion, wailing on each other most of the time since they are so close together. Charlotte is measuring 20w1d and weighs 12oz, while Ruby is 19w5d and weighs 10oz.
Below are a few photos from the ultrasound.
Profile view of Charlotte:

Ruby was moving too much to get a decent profile of, so we had to settle for a skull shot (but what a nicely formed skull it is):

Charlotte had her hand in her mouth for this shot:

As for me, I am measuring close to 26 weeks (per a singleton pregnancy) today though I will not be 20 weeks along until Thursday. The high risk doctor performed a cervix exam as well, and I am in no danger of preterm labor at this point. My blood pressure is still low, and I am gaining weight steadily to ensure that the girls are a healthy birthweight. It is getting harder and harder to move around, getting out of bed requires a few careful manuevers and trying to stand while putting on pants is quickly becoming a challenge. I feel the girls move each day, more so in the early morning (between 5-6am), but cannot distinguish who it is every time.
Bob and I are beyond happy to have two daughters on the way. We went to Babies R Us after we left the hospital and bought a few girl specific outfits and other necessities. We will be spending the next few weeks getting everything else needed and set for the girls' arrival since the doctor mentioned that modified bed rest may happen within the next couple of months just to be safe. My next appointment will be with the OB on June 2nd, so we may have more photos to share from an ultrasound then.
