Charlotte and Ruby are starting to get quite chubby. They eat 3oz every 2-3 hours, and if Ruby had her way, it would be every hour. They are getting stronger as each day passes, both able to hold their heads up for a few controlled seconds. Ruby is losing more hair than Charlotte, and it looks to be coming in a lighter color. The girls are still on a predictable schedule, with only a couple of inconsolable crying incidents that lasted an hour or two their entire lives. We know that we are extremely fortunate to have such great babies, and thankful because of it. We are now quite certain that Charlotte resembles Bob and Ruby resembles me when compared to our own baby photos (though Bob's baby photos are questionable - most are blurry) and current features.
Below are some photos from the past few days.

Those are cute pictures.
As for the uncontrollable crying sessions, there's a way you can cut that down to zero! There's a book called the Baby Whisperer, and it's written by a lady that worked as an infant nanny for decades and learned the codes that ALL babies communicate with.
I wish we would have had this book with our first born, but having it made our understanding of our second daughter so much easier! It's an amazing book. Imagine, being able to communicate with your babies now, instead of having to wait for them to learn how to speak.
It's been a while since I read the book or put it into practice, but here's a few tips.
Sleeping: You don't have to wait for your baby to yawn to put them down for a nap. Your queue is when they reach up and touch their ear or rub their eyes, you have a small window from which to put them down in their crib. Maybe ten minutes. By the time your baby yawns, you have even less time!
Amazingly, if you put them down to nap or sleep within that time window, they'll stay down and go right to sleep. Sometimes gently talking to them as they lay down helps in the beginning.
But, if you miss that window of opportunity, they get over-tired and they WILL NOT go to sleep, but rather this can turn into an hour long crying session.
Eating: When your babies are hungry, you'll see them arch their back when they cry.
They'll tell you their done when they turn away from the bottle, or turn away from the spoon. You'll see them look away in a different direction.
For the rest of the mysterious baby code, you'll have to purchase the book. It is the most useful baby book you'll ever purchase.
