1 Year, 7 Months, 3 Weeks, and 4 Days

Ruby & Charlotte are 1 year, 7 months, 3 weeks, and 4 days old today. They recognize and say some colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, white, gray, and black). Ruby can count to 5 (sometimes 6), and Charlotte can count to 3. They also know basic shapes, though they get rectangle and square confused sometimes. Ruby has started putting together 3 word sentences on her own, such as "Where Mommy go?" and "Ruby purple socks". Speaking of purple, Ruby would like everything to be purple so we think this might be a favorite color. Charlotte had one more tooth break through, for a total of 5 now. She no longer needs to wear her straight last shoes or brace, the doctor decided that her foot has straightened nicely. Enjoy the photos!

Reading a story with Bob:

We go outside to explore every day the weather is decent enough:

Watching a trail of ants in the crack of the sidewalk:

Finding a spider on our way back to the porch (we had to watch it for a few minutes until it finally made it's way off the steps):

Ruby studies a book:

Charlotte likes dipping things in ketchup (she is using a lima bean in the photo) but does not want to eat it - neither does Ruby, who did not even want the ketchup on her tray:
