Ruby & Charlotte are 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks, and 4 days old today. We are enjoying the mild winter weather here in Illinois, and taking advantage of any day above 40° by spending it outside. Ruby likes to sing loudly & proudly, and makes up her own songs to fit whatever mood she is in. Charlotte is more interested in drawing and writing letters by herself; she is quite proud of her uppercase Ls. Enjoy the photos!

Charlotte found a fallen branch and dragged it back to our house in hopes of mailing it to Uncle Trevor (who found a large branch at the park back in October during a visit here):

She was very happy with her spider drawing, and named him Angus (who likes to wear hats every day):
In preparation for being indoors for the majority of a standard winter here, I set up a sensory play table with whole feed corn (inspired by a farm we visited in the fall) where they can spend an entire afternoon digging and pouring happily:
They used a few of their wooden blocks to make buried treasure:
Bob took them out on a walk while I was at work:
They studied one of the frozen ponds in the reserve:
