3 Years, 7 Months, 2 Weeks, and 1 Day

Ruby & Charlotte are 3 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day old today. Uncle Trevor came by for a visit that went far too quickly. We made the most of it by introducing him to the Morton Arboretum and Starved Rock State Park. Enjoy the photos!

At the airport waiting for Uncle Trevor to appear:

They made signs that featured 3 surfers and 3 octopuses each to welcome him:

Uncle Trevor arrives:

He brought gifts from Hawaii, and even those did not entice Ruby to get any closer to him:

At Morton Arboretum:

Ruby decided she was stuck on this stepping stone:

Uncle Trevor came to her rescue, and her shyness evaporated:

Charlotte is determined to make her own way across the farther spaced stones:

Uncle Trevor gathered rocks to build a dam in the stream:

Charlotte loved helping throw the larger rocks in to make a big splash:

Ruby giggled as she tried to splash Uncle Trevor:

They rescued earthworms from drowning in the stream:

Uncle Trevor read a bedtime story each night at their request:

Since Marissa was unable to make it this time, she Skyped with us:
Ruby made faces at the computer:
Charlotte got tickled:
It turned into a laughter filled wrestling match at one point:
Family photo at Starved Rock:
Uncle Trevor guided Ruby across a fallen tree:

Charlotte made her way across the tree stumps with Uncle Trevor's help:
Another family photo:
We had a picnic lunch near a stream:
Charlotte fell into that stream shortly after lunch:
They fished for leaves before we headed home:
