18 Days Left

It seems that my uterus and cervix are determined to go the distance. At the OB appointment today I showed no progress from two weeks ago, aside from getting larger. I now measure 44 weeks and have gained 55lbs total. I weigh about 10lbs less than Bob, and to put that into perspective, I'm 5'5" and he is 6'1" when not slouching. My cervix is holding at 1 cm dilated.
I had the NST afterwards, and both girls did well. Though Charlotte took her time cooperating, since I kept having to search around for her heartbeat whenever she would move for the first 50 minutes. She finally stayed near enough to the monitor to register 4 heart rate accelerations on the machine after an hour. I only registered one very minor contraction the entire time. Below are a couple photos from the NST.

We have completed all the tasks that we can think of to have the house ready to bring home Charlotte & Ruby. Below are the final preparations we did before Labor Day.

And now we wait for September 23 to get here or labor to start. We see the high risk doctor next Tuesday for a final growth scan, so I will post the results from that and hopefully a couple ultrasound photos if the girls are feeling photogenic that day.
