It's Time!!!

At 4:00pm today I will be in the OR having a c-section! At our appointment this morning the OB agreed that I am done being pregnant. The girls look big & healthy, with chubby cheeks apparent on the ultrasound screen. Surprisingly, despite the continuous contractions I've had for a week now, my cervix is still holding at only 1cm dilated. My kidney, on the other hand, is being compressed more and requiring me to take pain medication to tolerate it for the past 3 days.
It still does not seem real to us, that we will actually be meeting our daughters late this afternoon. My mom (who is still in CA until Sunday) and Bob will be doing their best to make phone calls to everyone and let them know how everything went along with Charlotte & Ruby's details this evening.

Since this is the last day I will ever be pregnant, below are the belly photos from weeks 26-37.

I'm really excited for you right now. You got some serious baby tummy in these pictures. You're definitely in my thoughts right now. Two babies at one time! There won't be much sleeping in your household for a bit. Wow. I wonder if they'll grow up to be able to reach the other's mind.
