Charlotte & Ruby are 3 years, 6 months, 2 weeks, and 4 days old today. Charlotte is in the "Why?" phase of childhood. She can easily ask 17 questions starting with "Why...." in a matter of minutes with no end in sight. Ruby is content to play with 2 small toys and act out random scenarios with them on her own. She is inclined to start rambling her train of thought out loud when she does feel talkative, and rarely do we have any insight as to her logic on relating it all together. Charlotte went to the dentist for her 2nd checkup yesterday morning and did phenomenally well in comparison to their 1st visit 6 months ago. She cooperated fully, let them count her teeth (19 with one more molar starting to come in), had her teeth cleaned (she chose cherry flavor), got a fluoride treatment (she chose cotton candy flavor despite not knowing what it is), and did her first set of x-rays. Ruby stayed home sick this time and will go next week for her check up. Enjoy the photos!
We went to one of the amazing parks by the river, and the highlight of the visit was the drinking fountain:
They took off running when they spied a large, fluffy squirrel in the grass:
Despite telling it that they are nice, it stayed up in the tree:
Charlotte laughs:
Ruby checks out her reflection in the lens:
Charlotte thought this stick walked like "an old, grumpy spider":
Ruby loves to hear her echo in the boathouse:
At home, we went for a quick walk one afternoon:
They brought their shovels to dig about in the rock patch:
